Italy has many wonderful sites to visit and Rome, most of all. There are so many areas that hold archaeological and historical value, as well as artistic interest that it can sometimes be difficult to know which ones you should go to. Among them, the site of Ostia Antica would definitely be one of the top destinations you could choose for a lot of reasons. One of the main ones is that, as ancient Roman cities go, Ostia Antica played a major role in the thriving trade and commerce industries of the old civilization. It’s basically Pompeii, but without the volcano and the people getting buried under tons of lava.
